In 1963 at the young age of 20 yrs. old he opened B & B Auction, in it's present location, one of the oldest buildings in Elsberry, Missouri.

In 1992 Don & Sue were married.

There was a need for a Cashier for the Auction at that time so Sue took the position. In 1997 the backup auctioneer retired due to health, Don persuaded Sue to get up and "Sell". She did not feel comfortable with this and wanted to go to school. The Mo. Auction School was coming to Bridgeton in Feburary so Sue decided to go. She Graduated in March 1998. Now she start's the auction & helps Don when he need's a break. She can also be found working the "Ring" and "Cashiering".
